Learned to shoe horses in 1971 by Gene Armstrong.
1981 Became an AFA certified journeyman farrier
1981-1993 taught farrier science at Cal Poly Pomona
9/2001 honored by the International Farriers Hall of Fame
2002 demonstrated blacksmithing at Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT
Bob was a member of ABANA & CBA & taught blacksmithing for numerous years at the Vista Museum. He was also a board member of American Farriers Association as well as a past Vice president of Western States Farriers Association. He was also the Village blacksmith during the LA County Fair.
Bob was an amazing person who opened his home to everyone, loved the art of blacksmithing, the old western way of life, cowboy gatherings and good times around the campfire amongst friends and family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather,friend and to some a hereo. We love you, miss you &You will always be forever in our hearts & memories ~
